Luftwaffe Meyer Tropical Schirmutze

A very rare Luftwaffe tropical schirmutze peaked cap with a cloth neck sunshield. Made from lightweight sand-coloured cotton with a cloth peak and chinstrap. Button-on neck protector. Embroidered Luftwaffe 2nd pattern eagle and swastika badge with winged cockade. Cloth sweatband and a red cloth liner. No visible maker marks or size. Probably made by Meyer. Fair condition overall.  read more

Batch number 5567 stamped onto shell rim. Very faint stamping of makers mark (hkl) and size (64). Dark hide liner. Leather chinstrap with illegible stampings.  read more
