An early pattern Nazi German police shako. Black leather and composite construction. Large police insignia to the front. National cockade mounted on a metal frame. Leather M1895 chinstrap with twin buckles. Twin hatched vents either side. Light tan hide liner with a size 54 stamp. Some light scuffing to crown, otherwise very good condition.  read more

Luftwaffe SSK90 Flying Helmet

The rare metal SSK90 Luftwaffe protective flying helmet. Manufactured by Siemens, the helmet is made from 12 metal sections rivetted to a central oval. Originally it would have been covered in leather, with a leather liner. Dated August 1941 and stamped CAW. The SSK90 helmets were discontinued for service because of their weight which made them unpopular with Luftwaffe flight personnel.  read more

A Wehrmacht verbandkasten first aid box. Large steel box measures 35cm x 19cm x 10cm. Single carrying handle and twin fastening clips. Contents and instructions on inner lid. Dated 1943. Some contents remaining including a black cloth sling, two white cloth slings, two white bandages in packaging, an elasticated bandage in packaging and two leather pouches for iodine bottles.  read more

An SS Field Police Patrol Service Gorget. Gunmetal grey gorget in light alloy, with box link chain hooked to the reverse. Front design carries SS runes insignia above the Streifendienst legend, with rose fixing points. Tarnished on the reverse, which would have originally had a cloth backing. The Streifendienst police patrol service was established in 1941.  read more
