A 1st Class War Merit Medal in zamac zinc alloy with no hinge or pin. Domed construction with frosted patina on cross. Maker marked NS for Neuhaus & Sohne. There is a guide mark for the hinge on the reverse, suggesting this may have been rejected for some reason during manufacture.  read more
