The rare cut-down version of the 1855 Lancaster Martini bayonet known as the "sappers and miners" bayonet, issued to a Chelsea Pensioner of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. Normally issued to engineers and medics. This good condition bayonet, complete with scabbard, is stamped as a volunteer issue, and bushed.
