Royal Navy Captains Cap - Boxed
A Royal Navy captain's cap with its original box. White topped cap with cloth and wire RN badge and gilt wire "scrambled eggs". Both the cap and box are named to a Captain Padfield - almost certainly Captain Bernard Padfield, who was commissioned in Oct 1939. He served on several ships of the line as well as training ship HMS Collingwood. He was mentioned in despatches in 1944. read more
