ARP Wardens Helmet - London

An Air Raid Precautions Warden's helmet. Good black paint inside and out, with a white painted W on the front and back, indicating a London-based ARP unit. Illegible date and maker stamp on shell. Original liner and crosspiece, maker marked BMB (Briggs Motor Bodies). Size 7. Part-elasticated chinstrap. Wearer's name - B Lewis - scratched on inner crown.
