M38 Fallschirmjager Helmet - Bullet Hole

An M38 Fallschirmjager parachutists helmet with a bullet hole. Minus its liner. Shell has an overall brown patina inside and out with surface rust, but is stable. No visible markings on inner rim which is rusted. There is a bullet hole on the right hand side, with a nick to the left rim which could have been done by the same bullet. From the angle of entry it is unlikely it was being worn at the time. More likely it was being used for target practice.
